Russell James “Russ” Redl, forged by profound early trauma, channels his obsession for film and comics into truly haunting stories. At age three, the devastating loss of his baby sister plunged him into existential tension, grief and confusion. Finding refuge in drawing and horror writing while grappling with frequent psychiatric care, he cultivated a deep fascination with cinema. Known for his experimental horror shorts, Russ remains dedicated to storytelling and immersing himself in constant research.

Kim Sheil is an award-winning screenwriter from Brisbane, Australia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in film and Screen Media production and has over a decade of experience in the film industry, having worked on numerous productions ranging from short films, documentaries, feature films and web series, in roles ranging from screenwriting, production design, directing, and lighting. He is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Ministry and a Masters of Teaching. His hobbies include jogging, building and painting miniatures, and gym.

His book STRUGGLE, which was nominated for the Ledger Award, was hailed as the best original comic book of 2015 by ComicOZ.
